    Welcome to your healthcare website.

I hope that this site serves as a window to issues of importance to you, my patient. A website were we can continue to dialogue and learn about diseases, and medical conditions. Also, visit my new blog to read my thoughts on the latest trends in the medical industry.

While I enjoy teaching you, I realize that repetition is the foundation of understanding and by understanding, hopefully you will become more involved in our own healthcare.

My goal is to be able to make it as interesting and exciting for you to become more active and take responsibility for your own healthcare. Far too many times I treat patients who are indifferent and who are not knowledgeable about their medical conditions. I hope to do my small part in trying to change this attitude.

Your health IS in your hands. It is in the result of choices you have made throughout a lifetime, it is a result of poor decisions. The good news is, that despite what you read about occurring with our Nations healthcare finance and delivery, it is a great time to be alive! A great time because the medical establishment and Government are slowly understanding the concept of preventive medicine and understanding the importance of Integrative medicine and the relationship of body-mind-soul connection involved in medical conditions.

    I always question everything.

As physicians’ we forget that we were taught scientifically and part of the scientific method is to question. We get so caught up in the business of medicine however that we seem to be practicing and acting like mechanized robots. Automated, applying the same medical management and treatment for everyone. A business model of one size fits all.

    This is just wrong.

We need to get back to the profession of caring for individuals.

The patient should be the focus and foundation of healthcare, not the HMO, insurer or pocketbook.

During my continuous studies of healthcare issues there are interesting inconsistencies that has caused me to question many current thoughts and standardized medical practices. While not trying to re-invent the wheel, I do find myself searching for answers that are unanswered or better stated, unsatisfactorily answered. My questions can't be answered by simply being told to practice in a certain way, because of conclusions from some consensus panel. In other words, I am open to many different accepted, tried and safe modalities to achieve health, not just the ones that need to be bought at a drug store with a prescription or performed invasively.

    We do too much!

    We prescribe too much!

    We are overmedicating patients.

Most of it is our fault as a medical community as this is what we have been shown and instructed, but some blame also lies with you, my patient. Many of you still find it easier or more attractive to simply want a pill for this and that. And that is just wrong.

Allow us to explore, search and learn about becoming healthy and staying healthy. Studies have indicated that humans are capable of living to beyond 120 years (it will give the term geriatrics a new meaning!). Let us try to first stay out of the hospital, out of the doctors office and learn to listen to our body, that provides us with overlooked information as to how we are doing.

Knowledge IS power. You must become well informed concerning your health. No one is better able to care for you than you and knowledge is the key. For infomation to help you become more informed, check out my new site.

Please use this site as a first step as you are encouraged and urged to seek additional information on topics presented here. I don’t believe in "experts" and as such, I verify and supplement topics I find interesting to get a broader unbiased perspective, understanding and ideas.

    To Our Health.
